Kidepo Valley National Park Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Kitgum town
You will have an early breakfast and set off at 07.30 am for Kitgum town in the northern part of Uganda where you will have an overnight stopover. The journey to Kitgum will take 8-9 hours through the Luwero triangle in the central parts of the country before crossing the Nile River at Karuma to get into the northern part of Uganda. You will spend the night at Boma Hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park
You will continue the journey to Kidepo National Park on a rough road. The journey to Kidepo from Kitgum will take 4 – 7 hours depending on the weather conditions which determine the state of the roads in this part of the country. You will spend the night at one of the lodges in the park.

Day 3: Game drive and safari walk in Kidepo
You will wake up early for a game drive in Kidepo Valley park to catch up with the early predators that will be returning to their habitats after a night hunt. In Kidepo you will find zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and leopards and this is the only place in Uganda where you can find the cheetah and ostrich. You’ll return to the lodge for a late breakfast, have a rest, and go off in the mid-afternoon for a nature walk. You will return to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Visit Kanangorok Hot-Springs
You will have an early breakfast and drive to the border of Uganda and Sudan where hot springs are located. This area also harbors many ostriches which can easily be sited along the game tracks. In the late afternoon will enjoy the peace and beauty of the park on a leisure drive at your pace after which you will settle for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Drive to Gulu
You will have an early start and set off after breakfast on a return journey to Kampala. We shall make an overnight stopover in Gulu where we shall have an early dinner and spend the night. Accommodation and dinner will be at your lodge of booking.
Day 6: Drive to Kampala
Today we drive to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. If you are scheduled for a departure flight this evening then you will be transferred to the airport. If you are staying the night you will be taken to the hotel of your booking for dinner and overnight.
