Rwanda Accommodation generally falls into two types: hotels in the capital Kigali, and safari lodges and tented camps situated in Rwanda National Parks and reserves, the most popular of which is of course the Volcanoes National Park. Accommodation here provides the ideal base from which to go Gorilla Trekking Rwanda – expect clean and comfortable lodges, good food, amazing forest views, and plenty of adventure.
Rwanda is still very much off the beaten track and it’s important to recognize this when planning a Rwanda Safari here. The range of accommodation is limited, and in some instances, the only option is a simple guesthouse.
Selection Of Rwanda Accommodations
Rwanda offers a range of accommodations that spans basic camps to safari lodges to luxury urban hotels, from all of which it is possible to experience the sights, sounds, and distinct feel of the country, including, of course, its famous gorillas and other primates.
Our selection of top Rwanda Accommodation includes luxury ranch-style lodges, affordable bush camps and stylish city hotels – ask one of our African Safari Experts for advice on choosing the right lodge or hotel for you.
How We Rate Rwanda Accommodations?
“Budget” – Accommodations such as simple guesthouses or dormitory rooms are available in many cities in Rwanda. Service and amenity standards won’t be high and you are likely to share facilities with other guests, but choosing this standard can make a big difference in the price of the tour.
“Mid-range” – This is your best option for comfortable, self-contained (‘en suite’) accommodation set in stunning locations that don’t cost a fortune.
“Semi-Luxe” – Accommodation falling in this category is more comfortable than the mid-range. The locations are similar, but the details are further refined. These lodges often have a swimming pool, as well.
“Luxury” – The luxurious accommodation is fully equipped, comfortable, and usually more spacious than the mid-range options. They often have facilities like swimming pools, masseurs, and sometimes even private butlers.
Rwanda Accommodations & Amenities:
Accommodation is something that Rwanda excels at. We are seeing Rwanda incorporate more five-star properties, meaning that attention to detail and personalized service are to be expected. The country is home to some of Africa’s most famous properties frequently visited by celebrities and based in some of the most breathtaking surroundings.
Typically, Accommodation In Rwanda comes with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a high-end, luxury property. Depending on the lodge, this can mean anything from private plunge pools to personal butler service, to extremely spacious suites with unrivaled views. If you’re after a more authentic experience at your camp or lodge, speak to your experienced travel consultant who can hand-select the right property and region of Rwanda for you.
